 From his dramatically surreal figurative paintings to his brightly colored fiesta style, Lance's creations always seem to take on an energy of their own. "I recently realized that what I truly love to paint is ideas... Even more than I love painting faces, figures or local scenes, I love to paint ideas...to create artwork full of movement and life." Perhaps locally, Lance is best known for his fun filled fiesta style paintings of downtown San Antonio and our beautiful Riverwalk. Since publishing an entire line of these paintings, He has been named the "Official Artist of the Paseo del Rio Association", a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion and preservation of the Riverwalk. His work has now been published on the cover of their "RIO" magazine numerous times. Lance was also recently voted "Best Public Art" by the readers of the San Antonio Current magazine and his collectors have even come to include former San Antonio Mayor, Howard Peak. Lance's vibrant images just seem capture the playful spirit of Texas' "Official Party Town" and just want to make you smile real big! Although locally, the artist is best known for this Fiesta style, Lance's acrylic paintings are also on the move. He is already regularly exhibiting his surreal style of work at the Ward-Nasse Gallery in New York's SOHO district and is currently participating in a continually evolving year round salon, showcasing over 150 international artists. The artist is also releasing an entire series of his acrylic paintigs as hand embellished giclee prints on canvas. Since Lance and his wife own and operate the printmaking studio, they are able to offer these high quality archival prints of his work at reasonable prices and can even offer custom sizes up to nearly four feet wide. Each and every print is even made by the artist himself in his own studio and all of the artist's work is printed with on heavyweight archival, acid-free media.
