This hatband is made with the Gems Bok horn. The center piece is wrapped and capped in Sterling Silver with a nugget of silver set in the lower right hand side. I have treated this design with the natural outer surface waviness and texture of the horn, giving it a very unique look and feel (Though not many people go around feeling a Texans hat - much less his hatband). The rest of the beads have no metal work. They are carved to let the band lace through them. This is the classic style I originally developed 25 years ago at the very beginning of my love affair with bone and ivory.
